The inspiration
Dot is our Shih Tzu. When we thought about what kind of care we'd want for her while we were away, the answer was simple: someone who would treat her exactly as we do. A Stór Next Door is that idea, offered to the dogs in our community.

What “A stór” means
“A stór” (pronounced roughly uh STORE) is an Irish term of endearment meaning “my treasure”. It's what we call Dot, and it's how we think about every dog we mind.
